How To Configure Floor Plans/Maps within Dash

Objective

  1. To configure floor maps within dash to give visibility into how many devices are on a floor, who is closest to a certain area, or exactly where staff is at a certain time. 

Environment / Applies To

  1. Relay Dash
  2. Relay Pro App
  3. Accounts with Indoor Location

Procedure

Prior to adding your building floor plans, we recommend completing your beacon configuration and installation. For more information on this process, view this article.

Adding Floor Plans in Dash

  1. Log into Dash at dash.relaypro.com
  2. On the left side, click Location > Building Admin
  3. Click into the building that you are adding maps to
  4. Click the Floor you are adding a map to
  5. Click Add Image for {Floor Name}
    1. Note: Map images must be a JPEG or JPG file
  6. Click Choose File and select the image from your documents 
  7. Click Submit

Edit Room Positions on Floor Plans in Dash

  1. From the floor you’d like to modify room positions of, click Edit Room Positions
  2. On the right side, Click on a Room from the list of configured rooms
  3. Click the location on the floor plan to assign it’s position; a pink dot will appear
  4. Repeat this process for all rooms
  5. Once done, click Exit

Additional Notes

  1. To obtain facility maps, you can either contact internal resources such as building managers, use existing fire escape plan maps, or sketch your own floor plans if needed.
  2. Indoor maps within Dash and the Relay Pro App are used to visualize indoor location of your Relay devices through the Indoor Locations menu and during active panic incidents.
