How to View Location in Dash and the Relay Pro App
Objective
- To view the location of a user in Relay Dash or the Relay Pro App
Environment / Applies To
- Relay Dash
- Relay Pro App
- Accounts with Relay Essentials, Pro, or Enterprise plans with indoor location
Procedure
Please Note:
- Location information can only be viewed if location tracking has been enabled in Dash. For information on how to enable location history, reference this article.
- Depending on your service plan, and your permission level, virtual users are able to see location information of their Relay Devices, if enabled, using the built in GPS tracking functionality. When outdoors, accuracy is within 3-5 meters, and when indoors accuracy is degraded to 20-30 meters.
- Additionally, certain service plans allow virtual users with location permissions to see both outdoor GPS location, as well as indoor location by utilizing location beacons. Indoor location accuracy is dependent on the configuration and installation of location beacons, but provides room-level accuracy when configured correctly.
