How to Place a One-to-One Call with Relay

Important Note:
  1. This article references an update to Relay's 1-to-1 calling feature which has not yet been rolled out to all accounts.   1. To better understand how to place a call on a Relay Device, the Relay Pro App, and Relay Dash

Environment / Applies To

  1. Essentials, Pro, and Enterprise Service Plans
  2. Relay Devices
  3. Dash
  4. Relay Pro App

Overview

Please Note:
  1. When receiving a call, users will hear the caller's name followed by a beep, signaling the call has begun
  2. After 10 seconds of inactivity from either user, both users will hear a beep, signaling the call has automatically ended. 
  3. If a call is missed, Dash and App users will see a notification for a missed call.

How to Place a Call From a Relay Device

  1. Press and hold the Relay Assistant button and say Call <Insert Users Name>
  2. Push and hold the Talk button and say your message, then release the talk button

How to Place a Call from the Relay Pro App

  1. Open up the Relay Pro App on your phone
  2. In the Channels Tab, tap Place Call    
  3. Choose the Relay or user you wish to call
  4. Once a call is placed, tap and hold the Talk button and say your message, then release the talk button

How to Place a Call from Dash

  1. Log into dash.relaypro.com
  2. At the bottom of your screen, click Call
  3. Choose which Relay or user you wish to call
  4. Once call is placed, click and hold the microphone icon and say your message, then release
