How to Sign In and Out of a Relay Device Using an NFC Tag
Overview
NFC tags make it easy for team members to sign in and out of a Relay device using an assigned badge or tag. This helps teams share devices while keeping each team member’s profile, name, settings, and activity tied to the correct person.
Environment:
- Relay Devices
Sign into a Relay device with an NFC tag
Important Note:
- The device must be unassigned in order to log into a new profile
- A device can only be logged into one profile at a time. If a device is logged into another profile, that device must be logged out, or unassigned in Dash, before a new profile can be logged in.
- Pick up the Relay device you want to use.
- Press either volume button to wake the device.
- Hold your assigned NFC tag near the back of the Relay device.
- The device will confirm that you have signed in.
You are now signed in and ready to use the Relay device.
Sign out of a Relay device with an NFC tag
At the end of your shift:
- Press either volume button to wake the device.
- Hold your assigned NFC tag or badge near the back of the Relay device.
- The device will confirm that you have signed out.
