How to Set Up NFC Tags

Objective

To better understand how to configure NFC tags.

Environment / Applies To

  1. Relay Pro App
  2. Service plans including NFC tags

Procedure

NFC tags are used to log in specific users into a Relay Device. They are commonly used by accounts that have more employees than Relay devices, but want individualized data and profiles on who is using the device.

How to Pair an NFC Tag

  1. Log into the Relay Pro App
  2. Tap Account
  3. Tap Setup User Profile Tags
  4. Tap Unpaired
  5. Choose the user you are pairing an NFC tag to and click Pair
  6. Tap the NFC tag to your phone 
    1. For iPhones, bring the tag within 2 inch of the back top right of the phone. For more information, visit this link
    2. For Samsung phones, visit this link to determine where the NFC reader is on your phone
  7. You will receive a confirmation that the NFC tag was paired 

How to Unpair an NFC Tag

  1. Log into the Relay Pro App
  2. Tap Account
  3. Tap Setup User Profile Tags
  4. Tap Paired
  5. Tap Unpair
  6. You will receive a confirmation that the NFC tag has been unpaired
