Objective
Understand and use the push-to-talk (PTT) functionality with the Relay app for iPhone
Environment/Applies To
Relay app for iPhone version 2.13 or later
iOS 16 or later
Procedure
By default, the push-to-talk functionality is automatically enabled for the Relay app when using version 2.13 or later on an iOS device running iOS 16 or late
Once logged into the app, select which channel you'd like to have for your live audio and PTT communications by selecting it at the bottom of the screen
Note: Any messages transmitted over the selected channel will play through your phone regardless of whether you have the Relay app open or not
On your phone's home screen, you'll notice a blue pill shaped icon in the top left corner
Tap the blue pill to bring up the communication options of talking or leaving the current channel
To talk: tap and hold the Talk option, say your message, then release the button
To silence the channel: tap the Leave option
Note: If you leave the channel, you will be re-added to it whenever you open the Relay app the next time
Additional Notes
At any time, you can change your current channel by opening the Relay app and selecting a different channel
