How to Identify a Relay Device

Objective

  1. Identifying a Relay device

Environment/Applies To

  2. Dash

Procedure

If the Relay device is powered on and online, showing 3 white LEDs
  1. Tap the assistant button and the device will say it's name and the channel that it's on
  2. RelayM and RelayX have a helpful on device screen that displays the name and channel it is currently on
If the Relay is not able to power on or has no audio
  1. Check underneath the USB port with a light to find the last 8 digits of the IMEI number
  2. Ensure you remove any cases to see the etching underneath the USB port
If the Relay still has it's white sticker on the back of the Relay
  1. The IMEI number can be used to identify the device
For RelayX and RelayM devices, we have an identify powered down device option via the Relay Pro App.
  1. Go to the Relay Pro App
  2. Select Settings at the bottom right
  3. Select Identify Powered Down Device
  4. Remove the case from Relay X|M
  5. Tap your phone (near your NFC reader) to the back of the Relay device
