How to Create a Channel in Dash

Objective

  1. Create a new channel for your Relays to communicate

Environment/Applies To

  1. Relay Dash
  2. Account Owners/Admins

Procedure

  1. Go to dash.relaypro.com and click Sign In
  2. Log in with your email address and password
  3. On the left side, click Account
  4. Click Channels
  5. Click Create a Channel
  6. Enter the name you'd like to use for your channel and click Submit
  7. Select whether you'd like to enable message history for your new channel by clicking Yes or No
  8. Select which users/Relays you'd like to be able to communicate on this channel
    1. Note: If you'd like all users/Relays to have access to this channel, you can click Select All
  9. Click Submit

Additional Notes

  1. When creating channels, we recommend avoiding abbreviations as there are sometimes conflicts with how abbreviations are spoken or recognized in the Relay system
  2. When choosing to enable message history or not, ensure you are following any laws or regulations that you may be subject to in regards to employee recording and privacy
  3. Once a channel has been created, you can not rename it
