How to Adjust GPS Location Frequency On A Relay Device
Objective:
- By default, Relay Devices update with an outdoor GPS location every 10 minutes. If your operations require more frequent location updates, you can adjust this to every 60 seconds for your Relay Devices by following the steps outlined below.

Procedure:
Only an admin with Edit Permissions will be able to adjust Location GPS Frequency for devices.
The default GPS scan frequency is every 10 minutes. Increasing this to 60 seconds will increase power draw. The level of impact varies by model: Relay+: Most significant impact, RelayM: Moderate impact, RelayX: Lowest impact.
- Log into dash.relaypro.com
- Navigate to the search bar in the top right corner, and click into the Actions tab
- Search for Location GPS Frequency
- Select the users you'd like to adjust Location GPS Frequency for, or select all by clicking the check box to the left of "Name"
- By default, you will see all users in the list, but you can filter by current Location GPS Frequency for devices by clicking the dropdown next to "Show All Users". Additionally, you can search for a specific user by using the search bar.
- Click Save
