How Do Assets Get Their Location?

Answer

Asset Trackers emit a Bluetooth signal that Relay devices can detect. When an asset is in range of a Relay device, the Relay device will report its location, based on a nearby location beacon, to any nearby assets. Those details can be viewed in Dash or the Relay Pro App.

Additional Notes

  1. In order for an asset tracker to get location information from a nearby Relay, the Relay must have location tracking enabled. For more information, reference this article.
  2. Only account owners and admins can view the Asset details in Dash and the Relay Pro App.
